With SYMplus™ turning and SYMplus™ milling, your production becomes even more effective, because the graphic interface, the powerful contour computer and time-saving production strategies support you in generating an optimal NC program quickly and easily … regardless of the control!
GeometryIn the geometry part, you can transfer workpiece contours from drawings with unparalleled speed and ease thanks to graphical user guidance – especially if they are not dimensioned for NC. Alternatively, you can also transfer contours, hole patterns, etc. from CAD drawing data (e.g. DXF). At the end of the geometry creation process you will see the finished workpiece in 3D.
Work planThe basis for short program run times is our residual quantity detection: You select the tool and the strategy, the subsequent tool automatically detects the residual quantities. The integrated crash monitoring gives you additional safety in the production preparation.
Using a simple work plan list, you can keep track of your work step sequence, change the sequence and try out alternatives. The software always calculates collision-free tool paths.
PostprocessorAt the end you choose the postprocessor suitable for the machine or control on which the workpiece is to be produced. Click on [ OK ] and SYMplus™ generates the NC program. Depending on the possibilities of the control, you transfer the program via USB stick, network or a serial data connection (RS232). The complete package of our postprocessors can be found here. Once they have proven themselves, you only have to acknowledge the values for the following applications. This also creates efficiency and above all provides security against expensive incorrect entries
Control simulatorThe control simulators from SYMplus™ use a control-neutral interface in which most of the commands and cycles of the real controller are simulated. Input dialogs and context help screens are available for all supported commands and cycles. This allows students/trainees to learn how to program the original control and use the modern 2D and 3D simulation graphics to check that all commands function smoothly.
The SYMplus™ CNC control simulators are also very important in the workshop. The machine operator has all necessary information at a glance: component geometry, clamping or tools. A particular advantage is the possibility of making short-term adjustments to the machining of a workpiece, checking the simulation solution and thus avoiding collisions.
Tool dataThe cutting data comes from a tool database in which you gradually enter the best rpm or cutting speeds, feed rates and cutting depths for each material.
