A new face in the KELLER.Software team!

A new face in the KELLER.Software team! A warm welcome to Yasin – our new talent in the world of application development!

Hello, Yasin! Please introduce yourself briefly.

Hello, my name is Yasin and I’m 25 years old and I’m training as an IT specialist for application development at KELLER.Software.

What made you decide to start a training program in this field?

I am fascinated by the opportunity to develop software that makes people’s lives easier. I’m also motivated and enjoy learning new things, which is essential in this profession.

That sounds exciting! And why did you choose KELLER.Software as your training company?

I felt comfortable at KELLER.Software right from the start and I liked the working atmosphere. I am particularly interested in the software (SYMplus) for turning and milling.

What are your first impressions of working here?

Good, I am constantly given new tasks that help me to improve my skills. I also always have the support of my colleagues and superiors.

We’re glad to hear that. Do you have anything specific you would like to learn?

I would like to learn more than just a programming language and how to use it in practice. How to use computers optimally and how to solve computer problems. I want to learn more about the different types of networks and how to set them up and manage them.

Finally, what do you like to do in your free time (apart from programming)?

I like to spend time with my friends. We like to go out, to a restaurant, to the movies or just for a walk. I’m a big fan of international cuisine and like to cook recipes from other countries. I also like to play video games with my friends to relax and have fun.

Thank you, Yasin, for the short interview! Great to have you with us. We look forward to supporting/following your professional journey.

Throwback 2001 – EMO exhibition with VW trainees

Let’s rewind to #ThrowbackThursday in 2001 when VW trainees showcased their CNC prowess at the KELLER booth during the “EMO” exhibition.

Live on stage, the three apprentices engineered workpieces from scratch – all, of course, with the assistance of our CNC software SYMplus™. The special aspect: The audience constructed the workpiece by shouting, nothing had been practised beforehand.

        Merry St. Nicholas’ Day!

In Germany, it is a tradition to place polished boots outside the door on the evening of December 5th. According to legend, St. Nicholas then comes by during the night and fills your boots with sweets and small gifts. 🍬

We may not have sweets for you, but we’ve got a new, interesting video on our YouTube channel!

Watch how we simulated the St. Nicholas’ house with our SYMplus™ CNC software in four different ways:

        1. G17 IP3 – End face machining with virtual Y-axis
        2. G17 IP5 – End face machining with real Y-axis
        3. G19 IP1 – Surface machining with virtual Y-axis
        4. G19 IP5 – Chord surface machining with real Y-axis
