KELLER CNCplus control system at the AMB (Throwback 1994)

1994 at the AMB fair: Our founder, Mr. Keller, proudly presents our in-house CNC control: CNCplus.

“The latest generation of controls, complex geometries without programming,” was the slogan on the poster. At a time when CNC programming was still often manual and very time-consuming, this was a true milestone in the industry!

A total of 120 of these ‘CNCplus machines’ were developed – in close collaboration with BOEHRINGER and NUM – and a few of them are still in use today.

A fascinating look back at the pioneering spirit that continues to inspire us!

      KELLER Christmas Party 2024

Christmas Spirit in the Finnish Grillkota!

This year, we took our KELLER Christmas party to a truly special location: the Finnish Grillkota (Fyrhouse) at the “Grillakademie” in Bochum. After a cozy start with mulled wine and grilled sausages at our office, we headed off together in the evening for a unique culinary experience.

      The menu was exceptional:

      • Beef Tartare
      • Finnish Beef Palapaisti Goulash
      • Flame-grilled salmon bao burgers
      • Reindeer and lamb steaks with potatoes, carrots, and more
      • … and to finish: Finnish pancakes with wild berries and a traditional coffee ceremony.

An evening full of delicious food and warm companionship – the perfect way to wrap up the year. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this evening so special and to the “Grillakademie” for their outstanding organization and hospitality.

KELLER and BZI Remscheid in China(Throwback 2012)

A long-standing friendship that connects: KELLER and the BZI Remscheid have enjoyed a close partnership for many years. One of the highlights was our joint trip to China in 2012!

With the support of our Chinese partner Dr. Gao (2nd photo, right) from China Window, we were able to assist customers on-site and conduct training sessions. Joining us were Mr. Peter (2nd photo, left), CNC machining instructor (whom we recently met again at the BZI open house – what a great reunion!), Mr. Hagemann (3rd photo, left), former managing director of the BZI, and representing KELLER, Mr. Reckermann (3rd photo, center).

SYMplus is awesome! – KELLER at the EMO fair (Throwback 2001)

„SYMplus™ is awesome!“ – That’s what the VW trainees wrote on our whiteboard during EMO 2001.

At our booth, they showed what they were made of: live, they designed a part using our SYMplus™ software, with the entire drawing determined by spontaneous instructions from the audience. Then, the part was immediately produced on a CNC machine right there on site.

And who remembers Diddle Mouse? It was a huge trend in the early 2000s!

A visit rich in cultural and human connections! In January 2007, an invitation from the Salesian Order brought our sales representative to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.

The reason: Father Bergamin, a technical teacher and long-time friend of KELLER, planned to introduce our CNC software to twelve Don Bosco locations across various African countries.

In addition to local attendees, guests from Nigeria and Kenya also traveled to the SYMplus™ presentation.

KELLER training in Estonia (Tallinn) with HAAS and Abplanalp Estee OÜ (Throwback 2007)

Did you know that SYMplus™ is also available in Estonian? The translation was created in 2007 as part of a Leonardo project – a result of the close collaboration with the HAAS distributor Abplanalp Estee OÜ and the TTK University of Applied Sciences in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. In the first photo, you can see Mr. Reckermann (far left), who was on-site for KELLER at the time.

This collaboration led to many exciting business trips. On one of them, while traveling to a customer in Tartu, the second-largest city in Estonia, we discovered the little “Hollywood” located along the Tartu-Tallinn Highway! (see second photo)
