      Throwback 1992 – CNCplus control

Did you know that KELLER had developed its own control software called “CNCplus” in the past?

In 1992, being motivated by the success of “Graphic Programming with GKE + CAM”, KELLER implemented this project in cooperation with the company NUM as hardware partner and BOEHRINGER as manufacturer (as well as with some other fabricators).

A total of 120 “CNCplus machines” were created, and the “CNCplus control” was even used for retrofitting projects.

Regrettably, further development with NUM was discontinued after a few years. Still, Mr. Kairies, a NUM employee, who recently celebrated his 33-year anniversary with the company, commented when our CEO, Mr. Mues, congratulated him on LinkedIn: “[…] still have several CNCplus controllers in the field!”

Thus, the success story of KELLER and “CNCplus” remains unforgettable!

Throwback 1990 – Band’s music between cnc machines

On October 12, 1990, the KELLER “Technology Centre” was inaugurated. The centerpiece of the show, back then, was the workshop, equipped with 6 CNC machines and 6 different CNC controllers. The evening’s highlight was the band’s incredible music between the machines.

On this #ThrowbackThursday, let’s travel back to 1985. KELLER.Software developed the EPL1 Simulator on the Apple 𝘐𝘐e – fun fact: at that time, only 64 kB RAM was available! The EPL1 keyboard was meticulously handcrafted and was a special attachment for the Apple 𝘐𝘐e, providing an almost identical control experience to the original. Pretty cool, isn’t it?
