Bergisches Competence Center for CNC and PLC Technology (Throwback 2001)

In May 2001, the “Bergisches Competence Center for CNC and PLC Technology” was inaugurated at BZI Remscheid!

This marked a strong partnership between KELLER, SPINNER, SIEMENS, and BZI, which provided the facilities and infrastructure (and with whom we still maintain a close friendship to this day!).

Together, we introduced state-of-the-art CNC programming into various industries. Thanks to practical courses and innovative tools such as ShopMill and ShopTurn from SIEMENS, skilled workers quickly familiarised themselves with the then-new technology. But it wasn’t just professionals; students also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of metal technology and create their own workpieces.

  • In the second photo, you can see Mr. Reckermann, our Head of Sales, leading a course on the opening day.

          Throwback 1990 – KELLER “Technik-Centrum” Workshop

The KELLER “Technik-Centrum” was opened in the early 90s and was a place of innovation.

The heart of the place was a workshop equipped with six CNC machines and six different CNC controls. A true highlight in our company history!

Throwback 2012 – Continuing Education Innovation Prize

#ThrowbackThursday for the “Continuing Education Innovation Prize 2012” (WIP) at Didacta in Hanover!

A special recognition for the “Heidenhain Interactive Training” (HIT) project. On behalf of Heidenhain, we developed a revolutionary learning program that teaches older specialists how to operate and program complex CNC controls.

This innovative self-learning concept combined multimedia elements with traditional methods and enabled learners to learn flexibly and at any time.

The jury not only praised the high level of clarity and variety of the learning opportunities, but also the way in which KELLER combined work and learning.

3 Reasons why you should not use SYMplus (or maybe you should!)

                  1. If you prefer slow and inefficient CNC training.

                  2. If you are not into interactive learning modules and having fun while learning.

                  3. If you don’t want to benefit from a user-friendly software to enhance your CNC skills.

Who would have thought that there are also reasons not to use SYMplus™, right?

However, jokes aside, on our website you will find many reasons as to why you should use SYMplus™.
