KELLER.Software at the Metal Day 2022
Fostering young talents is the way to go! For the Metal Day at the David Röntgen School in Neuwied, Germany, both practical and theoretical workshops came together. It was a great pleasure for us to be able to hold two workshops there on CNC with SYMplus™. The enthusiasm of the students was absolutely fantastic. Thank you for organizing such a great event.

The VR workshop: Playful access to the CNC world.
What if you could learn in a “real” CNC workshop instead of learning theory in a classroom? What if you could practice there on lathes or milling machines without the fear of making a mistake? This is the possibility offered with the VR workshop from KELLER.Software.
With this modern and playful learning method, the necessary learning content is intuitively internalized. Thanks to the two VR controllers, you can now move through the “virtual workshop”, you grasp objects, press buttons and make machines work. And the VR glasses are like a new pair of eyes.
Do you want to dive into the virtual world yourself? On November 4 and 5, 2022, we will be at the BZI Remscheid open day with our VR glasses. We would be happy to give you a glimpse of the Virtual World. Of course, we will also be available to answer any questions you may have on the topics of training, further education and vocational orientation.
We wish you a beautiful day ahead

New edition workbooks for PAL2020.
In 2 months it will be Christmas, but before we settle down comfortably on the sofa with cookies, we still have a PAL exam coming up.
To help you prepare for the exam in the best possible way, we have updated the SYMplus™ workbooks to include the PAL2020 commands and made a few other important corrections as well. The new edition with PAL2020 is now available for purchase from us. By the way, even without an exam, the workbooks are a great learning tool to learn the CNC basics with SYMplus™.
What are SYMplus™ workbooks?
Methodically interlocked with SYMplus™, the SYMplus™ workbooks are the ideal teaching material for the introduction to CNC, basic training according to DIN, preparation for the PAL exam as well as control-specific technical training and CAD/CAM. The workbooks are structured according to topics and contain tasks with increasing levels of difficulty. The workbooks are also available digitally on request.
These workbooks are available for purchase:

KELLER.Academy Training at Firma Musashi
Greetings from Bad Sobernheim. KELLER.Academy was on site at Firma Musashi last week for a 2 day course on “Level Swivel and Driven Tools”. We visited Firma Musashi for the first time 3 years ago. It was a great pleasure for us to be able to organise another KELLER.Academy course there. In these 2 days, we programmed until our heads were spinning, even beyond the script examples and the sense of achievement was impressive. Many thanks to the three instructors Raab, Schmitt and Christmann for these intensive and creative course days.

Training on Site at Steinmeyer company
Another interesting training in Albstadt. This time at the Steinmeyer company, which specializes in precision ball screws for machine tool manufacturing, medical technology, as well as specially designed ball screws for aerospace and heavy-duty applications.
As you can see on the photo, the work plan CAM1 (the corresponding workpiece is covered in the workbook) was diligently implemented via PP for the HAAS control. This was tested at the end by means of the simulation on the machine.

Training on Site at Albstadt
Right now it’s training, training and more training. Having cancelled some of them in 2020 due to the pandemic, the KELLER.Software team will fortunately be able to host or be a guest more frequently in 2021 (subject to conditions such as the 3G rule, of course).
Last week, the visit to Gühring KG in Albstadt was a particularly pleasant experience. After all, the company has been relying on the SYMplus™ CNC software for many years. It is also one of the world’s leading manufacturers of drilling and milling tools and, with its own products, very close to the subject of machining just like us.
The trainers from the parent company and its subsidiaries came together for the one-and-a-half-day SYMplus™ software training. Everyone involved found it valuable and useful and there will be further training in the future.
Also a special thanks goes to Mr. Hartmann and his team for the organization of the training days as well as the interesting demonstration of a machining operation with sophisticated milling strategies and extreme feed rates at the end.

KELLER.Academy
The KELLER.Academy had visitors recently. The Hager Group’s graduating class of machine tool specialists successfully passed their courses and received their certificates. The only thing now missing is their graduation certificate, for which the entire KELLER team is keeping its fingers crossed.
After a year’s break due to the pandemic, they were guests in Wuppertal last week for one and a half days of CNC training. So it was all the more wonderful that learning and fun came together for the participants and the lecturer from Blieskastel, Heltersberg and Wenden-Ottfingen.
By the way: Kudos to the people in charge at Hager for making such an exam preparation opportunity possible for their trainees!
